Account Director

This is more than account management, this is creative leadership in motion. We’re looking for an Account Director who thrives in fast-paced environments, drives deep relationships, and unlocks growth opportunities through clarity, energy and vision.

You’ll be the strategic lead across retainer clients, championing ideas that move the needle and leading a team that delivers best-in-class creative and performance.

What You’ll Do

Client Retention & Strategy

  • Own and grow retainer client relationships
  • Build strategic account plans within 60 days of onboarding
  • Maintain 95%+ satisfaction across your portfolio
  • Drive 20% growth in service adoption across clients by end of 2025

Revenue & Reporting

  • Report monthly and quarterly on client revenue performance
  • Highlight risks, wins, challenges and opportunities
  • Lead quarterly business reviews and internal updates
  • Provide data-driven insights to shape Fortem’s growth strategy

Creative Sales & Campaign Strategy

  • Lead inbound requests and contribute to campaign ideation
  • Partner with Creative and Digital to develop high-impact solutions
  • Pitch big ideas to clients spending $8K+/month, supported by senior creatives
  • Ensure creative output aligns tightly with business goals

Client Communication & Feedback

  • Monitor client sentiment and relationship health
  • Resolve issues quickly and maintain calm under pressure
  • Provide monthly reports on engagement, outcomes and creative value
  • Drive team-wide feedback loops to keep improving

Internal Alignment & Team Leadership

  • Mentor team members on WIP leadership and client management
  • Bridge comms between Creative, Digital, Strategy and Business Development
  • Maintain 90%+ retention by ensuring internal teams are aligned and sharp
  • Build 10+ new strategic relationships each quarter

Operational & Cultural Contribution

  • Improve operational efficiency by 20%
  • Support cross-functional coordination and reduce bottlenecks
  • Engage deeply in culture-building initiatives across Fortem
  • Share client insights that can fuel internal creativity and performance

Graphic Designer

We’re looking for a Graphic Designer who can combine creativity, storytelling, and technical skill to deliver work that’s bold, strategic, and culturally sharp. This is an in-office role based in St Leonards (Sydney), perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is hungry to keep learning.

You’ll work across branding, social, video, and digital design, while also contributing to Fortem’s own brand projects. Expect to leverage AI tools, experiment with new formats, and set a high standard for creative excellence.

What You’ll Do

  • Concept and design distinctive brand identities and campaign assets
  • Translate strategy into visual storytelling across multiple platforms
  • Design for web, social, and ads using Figma and UX/UI principles
  • Create scroll-stopping content for TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, Meta, and Google ads
  • Ensure platform-specific formatting and performance optimisation
  • Collaborate closely with copywriters, strategists, and developers
  • Use AI and emerging tools to innovate and speed up workflows

What You Bring

Core Creative & Conceptual Skills:

  • Visual Storytelling: Turn narratives into engaging, high-impact design
  • Art Direction Understanding: Maintain creative direction and visual consistency across assets
  • Brand Concepting & Identity Design: Build culturally relevant and commercially sharp identity

Strategic & Digital Design Skills:

  • UX/UI Design (Web & Mobile): Strong grasp of user flows and hierarchy
  • Figma Mastery: Build design systems, rapid prototypes, and collaborate with devs
  • Adobe Suite (Preferred): Design and draw logos, brand redesigns and more

Social & Paid Media Experience:

  • Social Design for Culture: Deep understanding of TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn visual trends
  • Ad Creative Design: Comfortable designing high-performing ads for Meta, TikTok, and Google Display
  • Platform-Specific Formatting: Knows specs, best practices, and nuances across placements

Additional Skills (Highly Valued):

You’re a visual storyteller, a technical expert, and a strategic thinker. But above all, you’re obsessed with doing work that matters.

  • Leading high-impact creative projects from concept through to delivery.

  • Collaborating closely with our Lead Creative and Account Managers to align strategy with execution.

  • Driving innovation within our workflow and processes—suggesting and actioning improvements that elevate the entire studio.

You Bring

  • 4–6 years’ experience in a creative, agency or production environment.
  • A portfolio that shows more than aesthetic—it shows purpose, energy and excellence.
  • Mastery of the Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator) and industry-standard gear.
  • Strength in visual storytelling—both behind the lens and in post-production.
  • A proactive approach to leadership and collaboration.
  • A pulse on cultural trends and creative innovations—and the ability to apply them authentically.

The Details
